A Christmas Meme
What is a meme? It rhymes with dream and it is a list of questions you answer, then another person reads your answers and goes on to answer the questions from their viewpoint. And so on. It sounds rather festive, doesn't it? I have seen a recent list in the blogworld, but want to alter it a bit...will you play along with me?
Here goes:
1. Salmon or Swedish meatballs?
2. White or colored lights?
3. Presents opened Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
4. Favorite Christmas song or carol?
5. Favorite Christmas cookie?
6. Best present received as a kid?
7. Favorite children's Christmas book?
8. Ice skating or skiing?
9. Theme trees or memory trees?
10. Favorite place to celebrate Christmas?
My answers:

Here goes:
1-Salmon 2-White 3-Christmas morning 4-Carol of the Bells (Joy to the World a close second) 5-Gingerbread or Linzer (tie) 6-Barbie's House 7-Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg 8-ice skating (as a viewer) 9-memory (tough one, cause I like themes too) 10-home with family
Sandi, thanks for playing! I do love Carol of the Bells (remember singing it in choir at RHS?) and Polar Express, too.
Are you watching the new SKATING WITH THE STARS on TV? I like DWTS better, but I still try to catch the skaters on Monday nights.
Only watched the first night ... I was impressed with how well amateurs could skate. Haven't been able to keep up with it though. We like DWTS better too, although the drama is getting to be a bit much don't you think?
Now here's a book for you to look for (if you haven't yet heard of it.) Earrings by Judith Viorst - it came out in the early '90s. I bought it for my mother back then, it had reminded me of myself back in the day and knew she'd appreciate the sentiment.
Hi Deb, what fun questions! You asked for it...
1. Swedish meatballs
2. Colored lights
3. Christmas morning
4. Whatever I'm listening to is my favorite carol, I really love them all. Except for maybe "I wonder as I Wander," probably due to a really bad soloist at my church when I was a kid.
5. Spritz! Yum, just had some last night.
6. Surprisingly, I can't remember a favorite toy, none of them seem important now. There is the story of the Ken doll that I was diasppointed that I didn't get, but it was only because my mom had hidden it and was in the hospital on Christmas after delivering my baby sister and forgot to tell anyone where she had hidden it.
7. The Littlest Angel
8. Ice skating, but only because I have never skiied.
9. Memory trees, I have more memories that themes!
10. Home with my husband and two beautiful children.
Oh, Sonia! Thanks for playing along. I can certainly detect your Scandinavian heritage with a couple of your answers. No Spritz have been made here yet this year, but we sure have consumed many Swedish meatballs!
