It's Not About the Weather. It's About the People.

The forecast looked mighty gray and wet for the recent Homecoming Weekend at our alma mater North Park University. Plans had to be changed for moving the highly popular outdoor block party inside. The soccer and football games went on as scheduled, but they were wet, wet, wet. Strolling across the campus to reminisce about what happened here and there was more like a mad dash from point a to point b. However, it was one wonderful weekend as we had the time to reconnect with old friends (old as in dear - not as in age).
We gathered with family to watch the exciting soccer game sharing umbrellas and bench coverings - and conversations.
We showered love on Lina before heading over to the indoor block party.
We were able to see the Greats and their parents - will any of them be coming to North Park as they come of age?
We saw friends from the old neighborhood, camping friends, same-major friends, roommate friends, friends of our kids,
friends from the same state, friends from far-away states...and even made some new friends!
We're so grateful for our college experience all those years ago - and the life-long friendships we made still feel (re)fresh(ed) and (re)new(ed)!
